week 9
During the last week ,reading some articles for authors such Richard M. Felder, I learned about learning styles and ways of dealing with learners according their learning style when using technology in teaching and learning. The learning styles are :
• Verbal-Linguistic
• Logical/Mathematical
• Visual/Spatial
• Bodily/Kinesthetic
• Musical/Rhythmic
• Intrapersonal
• Interpersonal
• Naturalist
• Existentialist
The most well known of them are: Kinesthetic , visual and auditory .
1. Kinesthetic: learners who like to learn using their body movement.
2. Tactile : learners who like to learn by touching things.
3. Visual : learners who like to learn using watching things.
4. Auditory: learners who like to learn by listening.
I learned that teacher has to divide his students into categories according to that learning styles and then uses various tools of technology to meet his students styles of learning.
For those Kinesthetic , he can use keyboarding, mouse, joystick, and other devices for movement
For visual learner : Photo sharing websites ,comics and Sequential art
And for auditory , Video and audio recorders - digitize singing, musical instruments
I also used my peer reading comments to improve my project draft and made my final project report .I shared it in our wiki .
What I liked during this week is that learning styles reminded me to implement things I knew before .Also peer reading opened my eyes for things I were blind of them.

Week 8
This week we were nearly to touch the red ribbon to reach the end.
I did three things. The first was discussion about teacher resources .I learned about creating crosswords exercises , using HotPotatoes to make various exercises, printable word like dice and prezi . The second thing I did was sharing my practical implementation of some of what I learned at Robert's Wiki under the title "resources". I discovered that there were lots of online and offline tools that could help teacher to teach students effectively. The third task I did during this week was to exchange the project drafts with my peer. I read her draft and then gave my comments.

Week 7
This week we nearly about to touch the end. First I went through articles on learner autonomy. I got the definition of autonomy and how we could develop learner autonomy. I could elicit that teacher has to develop his/her learner self learning as a human free need and lead him/her for self independence .
I also read about one computer class room and what are the fields that teacher and learner can use one computer in the class room as motivation and other learning styles.
I shared a website link which is www.englishteststore.net in our wiki as autonomy help link.
I chose a peer reading partner for the draft project report.
I continued implementing project technology-related change
with ,more practiced lessons using reading links title:

they also practice reading using my PPS I shared in our wiki class and add it in my website for my students.
The result came rapidly and strongly my students now able to enter and open reading materials by their own and evaluate themselves .I tend to enlarge this project in the future to improve the site and cover Taiz universities students and then schools.

Week 6
This week was a serious week. We fished information deeply and we came over practical steps. I started reading about
- engaging students .
- dealing with large classes .
- making effective discussion interactive.
- interactive website.
- making interactive PPS fro effective teaching.
I also prepared my own PPS which is reading lesson with multi-choice question . I tried to apply what I learned from the UO reading resources in our main site . I shared my PPS at our wiki.
The most important task was project step 5. I, by consulting my instructor Robert, could limit my project technology-related change to solve the problem I stated in my project which is that my students are behind the other regular university students in English language skills and need access to extra resources and self study sites so they can work on their own to catch up with reading skills so my project is addressing self study materials for college students with improving reading skills.
so thinking of technology solution is the best tool for me and my students especially they are living in the Excellence Center where there is a computer lab and internet.
Thus , I decided to create a website as learning tool to meet my students need.
I started reading about creating websites and kind of websites with purposes. Then I started to create a website with a title "Simplified Reading Wiki 2013" at https://sites.google.com/site/simplifiedreadingwiki2013/
The site main layout titles are:
- Home: about me and some photos about my group
- Project Definition : introduction, purpose of the project and the objectives.
- The group and the rubrics: about my group gender ,level and age range.
- Reading and vocabulary links: some links related to reading and vocabularies.
- Files and other materials: other associated materials
- Assignments: for students to add self study materials and links
I asked my students to create accounts for each one of them at Google and then I asked them to open the link of our site I mentioned above. I guided them for using it by instructions and rubrics. Then I started with one lesson using reading links title
- http://magickeys.com/
They ,after reading answered comprehensive questions using the automatic grading and were highly motivated by using such technology. I also gave them feedback and asked them to inter another reading lesson by themselves as an assignment . During the next week we will do more tasks using this technology tool. My students was impressed by using such technology and in fact they asked me for more lessons and activity so they are patiently waiting for the next lesson. I could elicit that using technology is an excellent motivation for students and for self learning. They also reveal their willingness to guide their new colleagues for using such tools.

Week 5
The past week was hard as it was full of work but anyway it was useful .
I went through some articles about PBL, alternative assessment, rubrics and webquests.
Then I prepared my own rubrics from rubistar.com and shared it with my colleagues at our wiki.com.
I shared my project step 4 which is about a technology solution for the problem put in the week before at nicenet.org
I exchange comments with my colleagues and our instructor was and still our captain .
The most that I liked and attracted me is step 4 in the project task because I felt that we ,in gentle and excellent style of e-teaching, are geared to very important thing that is how to limit problem and face it with clever solution so I believe that for every hurdle is a suitable answer and I also believe that whatever things seem to be difficult and hard by learning it will be familiar and easy.
Hope there is no need to disturb your life,

week 4
As the more quickly weeks pass, the easier and more clear and useful the e-teaching skills becomes.
By the time passing , I believe that this course is very helpful for teaching.
During the past week I learned and did many things I can mention them as follow:
: (Three Extensive Reading Activities for ESL/EFL Students Using E-books)by Mei-Ya Liang and (Using Internet-Based Children's Literature to Teach EFL) by Larry J. Mikulecky
I learned how to guide students how to choose, read and share and evaluate e-books.
I also learned how technology can save time and money.
I got some information about helping students choose and read an e-book from a library for example (the five fingers method) .
I searched and found some useful websites for developing reading ,writing and vocabulary some of them are:
http://www.tumblebooks.com/
http://www.eslfast.com/
http://www.childrenslibrary.org
http://courses.britishcouncil.org/pub/tkt/ for teachers
http://www.learningchocolate.com/ for multilevel learners
http://www.bygosh.com/index.html for multilevel learners.
I learned how to make technology lesson plan and how it is different from the normal lesson plan because the former is a tool and an aid of the later.
I shared my own sample technology lesson plan at
https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B-Ntjk0YHiwqOHZHZEpsUzVVM28/edit?usp=sharing
I shared project step 3 in nicenet where I focused on the problem I touch it with my students and find that technology may help in solution .
My instructor helped me in limiting and focusing on the problem so I am appreciated and proud of such teacher to be my instructor.
Be full of hope because life is full of beautiful things,
Riyadh
